Hey everyone.

I have a medical visa until end of december, German passport and before I had a toruist visa. Any chance that I can still apply for the 60 day amnesty extension even tho I have a medical visa at the moment?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a 60-day amnesty extension despite currently holding a medical visa until the end of December. Comments suggest that individuals with legitimate medical extensions should have no issues applying, particularly if they have proper documentation from a medical professional. However, there are concerns for those who obtained their medical extension through unofficial channels, as they may encounter difficulties at immigration.

I will use this post as an example to people who have "medical extensions" :/

This is how it is;

IF you got paperwork from a doctor/hospital and went to your immigration office and applied for a medical extension you should have no problem applying for a 60 day unable to travel due to covid extension.

BUT

IF you handed your passport and a pile of money to an agent/agency/fixer who took your passport to a province you don't live in, used an immigration office you don't go to and got you an under the table, back door, medical extension you MIGHT have problems at your immigration office when you go to apply for the 60 day unable to travel due to covid extension.

Go to your Thai Immigration office before end of your current permission to stay and apply for the COVID extension.

Good Luck.
