Hello,

are there any news regarding extension with medical letter? I got the extension till October 21st.

I extended my tourist visa in March, but did it too soon - my visa were good till April 7th, but I stupidly went to immigration just before the amnesty started. So, now I have paid 1900baht for no reason twice. Is there any chance I can get a stamp till end of November? Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of extending their tourist visa in Thailand using a medical letter, as their current extension is valid until October 21st. They regret extending their visa prematurely in March, incurring fees unnecessarily. Comments suggest that currently only specific applicants qualify for a free extension until November 30 and recommend checking with local immigration offices or contacting a doctor for a new medical letter to support further extension.

My advice is to contact your doctor and ask them. If your doctor believes you can not leave Thailand for another month because of health issues, the doctor will issue a new letter. The extension of stay is 1,900 THB.

Nope, AT THIS TIME <- meaning right now. The ONLY people who can get the "free until Nov 30" stamp are people who applied for a 30 day extension from July 31st-Sept 26th by using the embassy letter.

No other forms of extensions are getting that 'free time'.

All you can do is go check with your immigration office where you got the extension and see what they tell you
