Good day everyone.

I hold an American passport. I came to Thailand via Poitpet/Aranyaprathet, on the 18th of April. My “visa exempt stamp” will expire on the 17 of May (Thai National Holiday “Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day”). I’m located near Seacom Square Srinakarin shopping mall.

Due to a recent surgery I must remain in Thailand. I tried booking on line at the “Laksi IT Square” office, but there are not openings.

My questions are:

a) Can I just show up at “Laksi IT Square” without a pre appointment on the 16 of May 2023?

b) What exactly is needed regarding the 1900Bahts cash fee, plastic tape, glue stick, clips, pen, staples, copies of what, photos size color, etc, to apply for the extension.?

c) will I get 30 or 60 days extension?

d) Any tips or further recommendations?

Thank you for you help.

And u don’t have to wait until the last day. U can go any day and they add the 30 days on to the expiration of your last visa exempt entry

There is a sign up , that they only accept 200 a day. Not sure if that includes the pre booked people. So best to go in the morning, I got there at 11am, and I was number 110.

I'm not saying it isn't reduced to 200 per day, just I can't find the image about it 😕 PEOPLE I'd go with Nigel's number and get there early because then you're safe IF it's more 😛

it’s the first time I have done an extension, so I am not sure if that is normal, or was a temporary number.

some days they burn thru the 200 they allow and turn people away, and other days you can show up in the afternoon and there's no one there, they haven't even don 100 numbers and you can get right in.

I would wager TOMORROW is gonna be a BAD day at ALL the immigration offices in the country because they were closed Thursday/Friday last week 😕

You are going to go to IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office, just next to Lak Si station of SRT Dark Red Line.

You will go here.

****************************

a) -> They accept walk-ins, no problem. Just go there.

c) -> A tourism extension is 30 days, only once.

b) & d) -> All other information/tips are in this general information sheet. You need to glue a photo on the form.

There are copy shops around the immigration office on 3rd fl.
