Has anyone applied from the UK embassy recently? I heard from the cooking school which i am applying with, as soft power, with that they seem to be rejecting more people over the last few months? Wanted to check what anyone elses experience was before applying. Thanks ✌️

Running a gym in Bangkok, I know personally that the London Embassy has enacted more strict requirements than other embassies as to who can be accepted as a credentialed Muay Thai gym.

I had a customer who after applying received a message asking for more documentation from the gym, one of which we did not have. I refunded him and sent him to another gym who I knew would have what was required and the customer was approved the next day.

I think if you have your documentation in order you will be ok.

thanks. Out of interest what additional documentation were they looking for? Because the school I am registering with also said the same thing. So I want to make sure I've got everything in place 🙏

If you fit all the requirements for the visa, fill and submit all paperwork and documents correctly and follow the rules, there's no reason your application should be rejected, regardless of embassy you apply from.

exactly 💯 it just seemed strange that the school mentioned the UK embassy and that they had heard of a lot of rejections there recently 🤷‍♂️ I would rather apply from the UK than take a flight elsewhere to apply tbh 👍
