TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you have obtained a DTV visa and received a 6-month entry stamp in your passport, you are allowed to stay in Thailand for the entire 6 months without additional check-ins as long as you do not exceed 90 continuous days. However, if you stay in Thailand for more than 90 days at a stretch, you will need to complete a 90-day reporting requirement, usually the first in person and subsequent reports online.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Service to get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.

If you stay more than 90 days continously in the country, you need to file the 90 day report, called TM-something. I've heard the first one must be done in person, and the subsequent ones can be done online. If you never stay more than 90 days at a time, then you don't do anything. (I've never stayed more than 90 days in a row in Thailand yet).
