TLDR : Answer Summary
To stay in Thailand for longer than a month, travelers can either enter without a visa for 30 days (if from certain countries) and extend for another 30 days at an immigration office, or apply for a 60-day tourist visa (TR) from a Thai embassy prior to traveling, which can also be extended for an additional 30 days while in the country. Alternatives include purchasing an elite card for extended stays or utilizing an e-visa system. Additionally, some travelers have discussed visa runs to neighboring countries like Malaysia or Ranong as a way to reset their visa status.

A 60 day tourist visa, or a 30 day visa exempt and then extend for another 30 days, depending on your country where you are from, all quite easy to do.

You Can extend 60 day visa for 30 days only once! After that there's only two options: 7 days visa to live the Kingdom or 60 day Covid extension (but be aware, that You need to pick it up after 15 days in the same immigration office - important if You plan to travel)
You can go to Thailand if you're from certain countries without a visa for 30 days and get a 30 day extension from the immigration office out there. Or you can apply fir a tr visa (60 days) before you leave from the Thai embassy In your country. If you do the latter and get the 60 day visa before leaving home you can still apply for a 30 day extension when out in thailand making a total of 90 days
As I said. I did mine last night and I'm flying on the 3rd. The last time I did one it took about 24 hours so im praying it's quick again lol. Cost is Β£30. Its a bit of hassle because of what they require from you but its worth it
