Hello everybody. Thabks to the admin to accept me to the group.

I have few question to ask cause my situation.

Me and my girlfriend are planning to come to Thailand for holidays at the end of November thru Phuket sandbox plan.

I have italian passport, so will get the 45 days from the visa exemption (if they dont drop it down to 30 days after the 30th of september).

She has chinese passport so she going to get tourist visa for 60 days.

1) Can i extend my stay with a extension even if i dont have current tourist visa? (I will have visa exemption).

2) Any chance (in general, with or without tourist visa) to extend the stay more than once, or we can only extend once?

3) I ve seen in different websites immigration or CoE ask even the return flight ticket, is it true?

I dont know the exact date to fly back home yet, because we currently planning to stay minimum 3 months if possible.

4) Since we depart from different countries and have different flights and airlines and going to meet directly in Phuket, there is any risk to have some problems once we get at the hotel to stay together for the first days or we need to stay separate till we get the PCR test results negative?

Thanks to everybody, and sorry for all these questions! Cheers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a user's intent to holiday in Thailand under the Phuket Sandbox plan, with specific questions about visa extensions for both an Italian and a Chinese passport holder. Key points include that the user can extend their stay using visa exemption for an additional 30 days, but only a single extension is allowed. Concerns regarding the necessity of a return flight ticket for the Certificate of Entry (CoE) are noted, and it's advised to check with respective embassies. The user also inquires about the possibility of staying together with their girlfriend upon arrival, which is confirmed to be allowed.

I'm going to shut this post down for three reasons:

1. You want to enter in November. November is a VERY long time away. The government said they want to fully reopen the country by October. We just don't know what that means, or if it's possible.

2. The government changes the requirements for the sandboxes frequently, depending on the COVID-19 caseload. What currently exists NOW may not exist in the future. The government wants a person to apply for a Certificate of Entry no sooner than 30 days before departure. I don't know what the rules are two months from now.

3. For staying longer than "three months", we don't know what the border situation would be like, or what the reason is for you to want to stay for three months. There is no "three month tourist visa" now - but there might be in the future. We don't know.

You can get 60 days covid extension ( if still covid in November), after 30 days extension ( no need of visa). COE: better you have a return ticket, but i saw people saying they did not have a return ticket and still getting it, but it depends on your embassies. Yes, you can stay together in 1 room for the 14 days, need to put 2 names when booking the SHA+ hotel.

>You can get 60 days covid extension (

The OP is entering in late November. The last day they are selling the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is September 27th. There is no mention of extending the extension of stay based on unable to trvel due to COVID-19.

>better you have a return ticket, but i saw people saying they did not have a return ticket and still getting it, but it depends on your embassies.

Looks like there are two embassies being used, the one in China, and the one in Italy. The Embassy in China is known for being strict, while the embassy in Italy is more relaxed.

I’m letting this post on, JUST TO ANSWER the visa related questions.

>1) Can i extend my stay with a extension even if i dont have current tourist visa? (I will have visa exemption).

Yes, you can get ONE 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, letting you stay for another 30 days.

>2) Any chance (in general, with or without tourist visa) to extend the stay more than once, or we can only extend once?

You can only get ONE extension of stay based on tourism, assuming you don’t qualify for any other extension of stays. IF you attempt to apply for another extension of stay, it will be rejected and you will have 7 days to leave Thailand.

>I ve seen in different websites immigration or CoE ask even the return flight ticket, is it true?

Certificate of Entry (“CoE”) related questions are outside of the scope of the group; you will have to ask the respective embassies what their policies are.

>4) Since we depart from different countries and have different flights and airlines and going to meet directly in Phuket

Sandbox related questions are outside of the scope of this group. Please find a sandbox related Facebook group, OR ask the hotels you’re planning on staying at.
