Hello, I am currently on a tourist visa exemption stamp (on arrival) worth 45 days. I am planning a visa run to Laos.
My question is whether you get a 30 day OR 45 day visa (expemtion stamp) on arrival via land border/crossing too?
I am a German national with German passport.
30 days would not be enough for me so in that case I would wait and simply buy the extension later on.
Any information is much appreciated!
Thank you for taking the time to read :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 45-day tourist visa exemption and is considering a visa run to Laos. They seek clarification on whether they will receive a 30-day or 45-day visa exemption upon re-entering Thailand via land border. Community responses indicate that as of March 31, all visa exempt entries are 45 days, regardless of how one enters. However, there is a limitation of two visa exempt entries by land border per calendar year. Some suggestions include taking a 30-day extension first and then doing a border run to maximize their stay.
Why don't you get the 30-day extension first, and then do the border bounce at the end of that period? The 45 day entry stamp can further be extended 30 days, giving you a total 150 potential days in Thailand
A visa run means you are going to a Thai embassy in another country and applying for and purchasing a visa. Since you're asking about visa exempt it doesn't sound like that's your plan. You want to do a border bounce.
All visa exempt entries are 45 days until March 31st. It doesn't matter how you enter. Just know you're limited to 2 visa exempt entries by land border per calendar year.
