Hi all, am new to the group and looking to travel to Thailand from November. I am from the UK and looking to stay for about 2 months. My question is do I need a visa or am I visa exempt, and also , if so, for how long could I stay and would it be possible to extend my stay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen traveling to Thailand can enter visa-exempt for up to 30 days, with a possibility to extend for another 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1,900 baht. Alternatively, a tourist visa can be acquired, allowing a stay of up to 60 days, also extendable by 30 days. It's advisable to check the Thai embassy for the latest information on visa applications.

I'm going to shut this down, since the OP's question was answered, and the post is hijacked and being derailed. Make your own post. Thank you.

Do you need to provide AQ(ASQ) hotel confirmation since after NOV 1 there is no more quarantine needed ?

That's a plan. It's not law. Assume there's an ASQ (Bangkok, Pattaya), or SHA+ (Phuket/ Samui) requirement until the law has been changed.

You have two choices one that gives you a max of 60 days of stay and one that gives you a max of 90 days

Come in visa exempt get stamped in for 30 days, get the one 30 day extension you're allowed at the immigration office for 1900baht

OR

Buy a tourist visa from the thai consulate, come in, get stamped in for 60 days and get the one 30 day extension you're allowed at the immigration office for 1900baht.

That's about it given that no nearby countries are open and the entry requirements while easing up are not like they used to be.
