What is the process for proving bank account balance for a METV application without paper statements?

Hello! My wife and I are looking to be applying for a METV in the coming months, and I had a question about showing the balance in your bank account.

We have an account with a bank that doesn't send paper statements, and there aren't any actual bank locations where I can go in and speak with a teller etc.

Does anyone have experience with using an account like this to prove their account balance? If I print out the e-statements, will they accept that at the embassy?

I just want to see how this part of the process works, as we're getting close to 6 months out from the application date and I need to make sure we don't need to move things between accounts in order to do this the right way.

Thank you for any information you can provide!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the acceptability of e-statements as proof of bank account balance for a METV application since their bank does not provide paper statements or physical branches. Community members share their experiences, suggesting that printed e-statements and screen captures have been accepted by various embassies, with advice to confirm directly with the specific embassy.

I previously just took a screen capture and printed it out for a METV

Interesting, I guess I'll check directly with the embassy and hope it doesn't change in the meantime. I feel like I've read a lot about getting statements "stamped" but maybe that was for accounts within Thailand/retirement visas or something.

Thanks for the replies!

I think you've read about people needing to get statements notarized and that you do via a notary public, BUT most consulates accept printed bank statements off your online banking.

Check the requirements at the consulate you're going to apply for the visa at and see what they say.

To be sure check your embassy but at least for Thaiembassy of Helsinki printouts are o.k
