Hey all. Can anyone give me some insight about the process from getting a Non B visa (which I just recieved) to then applying and getting a work permit?

My employer will apply for work permit for me. Is this guaranteed once you have a Non B or is it possible to be rejected for a work permit and if so, what happens to the Non B visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
After receiving a Non-B visa, you must go through a process to obtain a work permit, typically initiated by your employer. While getting a work permit is generally expected once you have a Non-B visa, it is not guaranteed, and there is a possibility of rejection. If your work permit application is denied, you can remain in Thailand for the duration allowed by your visa (typically 90 days). Once the work permit is granted, you'll need to apply for a yearly extension of stay based on employment at the Thai immigration office.

What consulate did you get your Non-B from. Usually in the documentation packet your employer gave you to turn in was a receipt of them having applied for a work permit for you..

If on the rare chance your work permit application is denied, you'd be able to stay here the 90 days that the visa got you stamped in for.

Once they get the work permit for you, you'd take more documentation and go to the thai immigration office and apply for a yearly extension of stay based on employment.
