Apologies if this question has been asked numerous times. I recently had surgery in Koh Samui so unable to pop over to the immigration office at this time.

I entered Thailand on a 30 day visa exemption (UK passport), which expires in around 2 weeks time. What are the best options for me to prolong my stay?

Going home isn’t an option and I don’t really have a ‘current address’.

P.s I have already used the visa exemption once before when I entered Thailand in January.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on options to extend their stay in Thailand after entering on a 30-day visa exemption due to recovering from surgery. Several comments suggest applying for a 30-day extension at the local immigration office and mention challenges due to the need for a permanent address for the extension. They also advise the user to consider obtaining a medical letter from the doctor if unfit to travel.

Koh Samui want to see an address if you apply for the Extension of Stay, without an place to stay and most tourist providing places closing down I guess the best option is to contact your Embassy and arrange a flight back to the country of origin

I think the doctor should be able to provide a medical letter if you are really unfit to travel.

As you entered visa exempt you can apply for 30 extension at local immigration office.

And as the COVID situation continues, the UK is encouraging its citizens to return.

Good Luck.
