What is the procedure for transferring a Thai visa to a new passport after returning to Germany?

Hi, I have a non-b Visa (single entry) and get it extended recently.

I have only half of a page left in the passport. I'm planning to make a new passport when I go back home (Germany) soon. I read that when I get a new passport from the embassy here, they will also issue a letter which I bring to the immigration to transfer the Visa.

In case I renew the passport in my home country, do I just need to show my old passport with the Visa at the airport and then go to the embassy to get the letter and follow the same procedure to transfer my Visa?

I'm also a bit worried that there is not enough space for re entry permit+ in and out stamp.

Can they put in and out stamp somewhere in the passport or does it have to be next to the reentry permit ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a single-entry NON-B visa and is concerned about transferring it to a new passport while traveling back to Germany. They plan to renew their passport and seek clarification on whether they can just show their old passport with the visa at the airport, then obtain a transfer letter from the embassy to process the visa transfer. Additionally, they inquire about their passport's capacity for stamps, specifically regarding re-entry permits and exit stamps. Community comments provide assurance that they can submit the old passport for the visa transfer process and offer advice on managing passport space for stamps.

MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR OLD PASSPORT WITH YOU UPON RETURN

good point, that's the one that has the extension in it ;)

You have enough room for the reentry and they'll fit your exit stamp in somewhere in your passport as it's only a small triangle

The stamps don't need to go in any particular order. A Thai exit stamp is

th of a page, so if you have

th of a page anywhere in your passport they will squeeze it in. If that's the only half page you have make sure you save it for the rentry stamp. You can ask the IOs politely to put the stamps on particular pages, they have always been cooperative with me at least.

okay when you come back in to the country with BOTH the old passport and the new passport, you will get stamped in on the NEW passport. Then you go to the immigration office where you got the extension (which is Chaengwattana) you need these copies and the form to transfer your stamps to a new passport. It's free.

if that is all the space left in your passport there is no way you can make it to Germany, this space will be taken by the needed Re-Entry permit and than you need the Thai Exit stamp

How about the space, do you think it's a problem? I uploaded a picture.

In contradiction of the German text, it seems that you have an Extension of Stay an not a Visa. If you get a new passport in Germany you use both passport to enter Thailand. Then depending if it is a visa, you keep using both passports as a visa sticker can not be removed from one passport and glued into another one, or when it is an Extension of Stay, this stamp and your re-entry stamp can be transferred to your new passport.
