TLDR : Answer Summary
When you obtain a new passport and have a NON-B visa and re-entry stamp in your old passport, it is advisable to transfer the visa stamp to the new passport. Immigration in Thailand can assist with this process, but you will need to present both the old and new passports. However, be aware that the re-entry visa will not be transferred and must remain in the old passport. It's important to carry both passports when re-entering Thailand to ensure a smooth immigration process.

Great. I plan to travel out of Thailand today.. get new passport. Enter Thailand afterwards goto Samutprakarn immigration and do the transfer.

My only worry was when i re enter.. the visa and re entry is in the old passport. Which will be attached to new passport.

Immigration can transfer your visa to the new passport, but you will need to present both passports as they won't transfer you re-entry visa. I traveled 3 times using both passports I had no problems.

embassy will give you a letter that you must show at immigration for they update the new passport, nothing else.
