I am on a non b visa and work permit.

I just applied in my embassy for a new passport. It will take about 5 weeks to get the new one.

Iโ€™m planning to travel as soon as I get the new passport.

Can I both transfer my visa to new passport and get reentry in the airport the day I leave?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a Non-B visa with a work permit and is awaiting a new passport from their embassy. They seek clarification on whether they can transfer their visa to the new passport and obtain a re-entry permit at the airport. Responses indicate that it's necessary to transfer the visa at the Thai Immigration Office that issued the visa extension before going to the airport, and while at the immigration office, they can also apply for a re-entry permit.

You cannot transfer your Non B Visa extension to a New passport at the airport.

You have to do that at the Thai Immigration Office which issued you the recent Non B Visa extension of stay.

You can get the re-entry permit at the airport as well as your Thai Immigration office.

thank you.

Could this be done at the airport?

Maybe, as they issue re-entry permits there?

and are you on the initial 90 days of a real Non-B VISA or are you on an "extension of stay" <- READ YOUR STAMP ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you're on an extension you have to go to the immigration office that issued the extension and get the stamps transferred to the new passport BEFORE you show up at the airport.

and while you're at the immigration office getting the stamps moved you might as well pick up a re-entry permit THERE ๐Ÿ˜‰
