BIt of a dumb question but Iโve never travelled out of Australia before and am trying to apply for the 60 day tourist visa
If I send my application in the mail to the Thai Embassy in my country, do I send my actual passport with it? Or do I just send a photocopy of it?
Thanks in advance for your help! ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand via mail, you must send your actual passport, not just a photocopy. The Thai Embassy attaches the visa sticker directly to your passport. It is advisable to include a self-addressed pre-paid express envelope for the return of your passport. Some users also recommended pre-applying online and dealing with the Thai consulate in Sydney for a smoother application process.
If your embassy still does mail in, rather than the online evisa system you need to mail your actual passport to them as they affix a sticker in it as your visa.
