Hi, me, my partner and 5 month old baby are in a Thailand with a 60 day visa, we plan to extend by another 30 days at immigration. After this we plan to then fly out to a neighbouring country in order to get another 30 day extension. What is the best/nearest/cheapest place to fly out too with a baby please? Any advice would be a big help

They leave about 5am and get back about 4 or 5pm

Wouldn’t recommend taking your baby though as minibus drivers ain’t the safest. Your kid can not be done for overstay so why don’t you send your husband down one day and you look after the kid and then go the next day while he takes care of the child.

Sorry Gemma i dont know, but if there's a Brit bar there Im sure you could talk to the guy and he could direct you to transport details to the Malaysian border 😁😁

ah thanks very much that helps a lot. Do you know how long the border bounce trip to Malaysia takes?

Ok, you came into Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa and you are going to extend that by 30 days at immigration for 1900bt, after that you could go to the mainland and get a bus down to Malasia and border bounce, meaning to get into Malaysia and come straight back into Thailand and you will get a 30 day visa exempt stamp in your passports. Also you can extend the visa exempt for another 30 days at immigration.

Hope this helps to keep down costs 🤔😁😁

Go to Siem Reap. Easy, short, direct flight. Get to see Angkor Wat while you are there. Small easy airport to navigate with a baby. Short 10-15 min drive airport to hotel with no traffic. Not expensive. Win win win win win.

Plus. You can stay in 5 star hotels for super cheap. Best deals I think for quality and price.

Cambodia and Vietnam are also full page visas, and you have to use a service to get an invitation letter for Vietnam (cheap if you do it in advance). Phenom Phen is one of the sketchiest capital cities in SE Asia. If you will just fly out and back in for a 30 day visa waiver, you could literally take the cheapest round trip fare...

Any neighboring country will work and probably be comparably cheap. Vientiane Laos is generally considered an easy embassy to deal with, but is often crowded and Laos has a full page visa (takes up precious space in a crowded passport). Cambodia, Malaysia, and Vietnam all have their charms, so it is kind of up to what you want to do for 3 or so days while you go through the process. Bali is absolutely the most low traffic Embassy, and you would likely not spend more than 5 minutes dropping off and picking up, but Bali is more expensive for the flights... Worth it in my opinion for a 3 day place to chill, but it is substantially more expensive than any of the other spots above.

You can only get an Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office. I guess you mean you like to fly to neighbor country and come back using the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry. Nearest country is depending on your location.
