If I test positive, can I choose which hospital I go to (axa insurance has a pretty long list, i'll be in bangkok) or do I have to go to where I'm told (mightn't be on the list)?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you test positive for COVID-19 while in Bangkok, your choice of hospital may be limited by the partnership agreements between your hotel and specific hospitals. Generally, you will be referred to the hospital that your hotel has a partnership with. However, if you are insured with AXA, you may have the option to insist on a different hospital from the list covered by your insurance. It's advisable to communicate clearly with your hotel and possibly contact AXA directly to verify your options.
Yes you do have a choice if you are insured with AXA refuse to go where they say it's a con call AXA they will tell you there hospitals coverd on your insurance
By default you will go to the partner hospital... But you can go else where, just ask nicely and firmly to the hotel what hospital you want to go to and they will arrange it.
Well unfortunately you don't have a choice. The hotels have a partner Cotract with a specific hospital. Also it's advisable to read the fine print on your policy.
