What should I do if I forgot to report my 90-day stay in Thailand?

I didn’t report after 90 days. Genuinely forgot…

Will this caused me trouble leaving the country or coming back in? Has anybody reported late after the 90 days? What should I do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Forgetting to report your 90-day check-in for immigration in Thailand is typically a minor issue. Many expats have shared experiences indicating no problems when leaving or re-entering the country, despite missing the reporting deadline. While there is a potential fine of 2000 baht if immigration notices the oversight, instances of enforcement seem rare. In most cases, as indicated by comments from the community, travelers who have missed the report found it to be a non-issue when exiting and re-entering Thailand. However, it's suggested to keep the reporting in mind for future compliance.

If you have DTV there is no 90 day reporting, come and go as much as you like, 180 days max each time 👍

bad advice, everyone on a DTV is required to report their address every 90 days, it’s the law.

ohhh do you have the soft one?? I have the working one and no reporting necessary, I have friends here with marriage and retirement visas and yes they have to report every 90 days. I have had my DTV over a year now and have never reported as it is not a requirement, I have left and re-entered the country 3 times, no problem 👍

🤣 you’re very confused.

I also have the working one and we don’t get special treatment.

If you’ve been in the country longer that 89 days, you need to do it. If not, you have a potentially growing liability on your immigration record.

OMG! I just checked the embassy website and it's there under FAQ, thanks for the heads up and apologies to everyone for the wrong information, another good example why Facebook is not the place for asking questions, contact thai embassy 👍

it doesn’t matter why the DTV was issued, all DTV holders have the same 90 day reporting requirement.

Anonymous participant 871 because he is yet to interact with his local immigration office. When he does he may be fined 2000 baht.

yes I will find out in a few weeks when I go for my first report, interesting that I have been out and back in the country after exceeding the 90 days without triggering anything, I'll let you know after I've been to immigration 👍

I unfortunately did this, I had no way to report since the Chinese had my passport until my last hours before leaving Thailand. I left for my visa run Jan 11 and returned yesterday - fortunately they didn't mention it and just stamped me in *hugh sign of relief* I stayed 1 day illegally (day 91 and no 90 day report completed) in my case. Or is it two days illegally? I'm not sure about 90 reports if you depart day 90?

Definitely won't cause you any problems leaving or coming back. The airport officers don't care about or check 90-day report status.

The most likely outcome is that nothing happens. Worst case scenario is next time you need to do something at immigration, an eagle eyed officer notices you failed to report previously and they fine you 2000 baht.

Do nothing, exit and re-enter and your 90 day clock resets.

It’s only a fine if immigration picks you up or the police… leaving won’t affect it
