What happens if I change my employer while holding a Thailand DTV visa?

I have a question regarding the Thailand DTV (Destination Thailand Visa).

When I applied for my DTV visa, I submitted proof of remote work showing that I was employed by a specific company.

My question is: What happens if I change my employer during the validity of my DTV visa?

I’ve seen several posts where people mentioned that Thai immigration sometimes asks for updated proof of remote work during re-entry or when using the visa for the second or third time.

So, if I change my company but continue working remotely (with a new employer), will immigration expect me to still be employed by the same company I listed during the DTV application?

Or is it acceptable as long as I continue remote work and meet the financial requirements?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who has faced this situation

TLDR : Answer Summary
When holding a Thailand DTV (Destination Thailand Visa), it is generally acceptable to change your employer as long as you continue to meet the visa requirements, including remote work and financial criteria. While immigration may ask for updated proof of remote work during re-entry or visa extensions, it's considered rare. It's advisable to have updated employment documentation on hand just in case.

It is not a problem to change employers. If you extend via immigration then you provide the new info. On arrival you could be asked for evidence of employment, extremely rare. Best to have employment docs to hand on arrival just in case.

I’ve only heard if immigration checking these things if you extend in country which is why most people leave around 180 days and return

On return into Thailand ( so far) all that is checked is passport, visa and TDAC

Of course things may change in the future but not yet 😀
