TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around extending the soft-power DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand after its initial 6-month period. It highlights that all originally submitted documents must be updated, including proof of a Thai bank account showing a minimum balance of 500,000 THB for the last 6 months, as well as proof of residence. Some users suggest considering a visa run to another country rather than extending the visa within Thailand.

From previous threads, save yourself the trouble and spend time in another country and reenter and get 180 days

Its pm2.5 season in Thailand all over so your lungs will thank you. Even Samui I saw from webcams looked hazy.

Best advice. Take a short holiday and wait to see how it pans out over next few months.

Depends on the immigration office. Chonburi require it to be in a Thai bank.

A recent extension via Krabi required the 500K to be banked for a minimum of 30 days. Does not have to be a Thai bank account.

If you are not going to study or participate in the soft power activities then why do you need the visa? That is the point of the soft power category.

That's the purpose of your visa right... So yes, if you wish to extend you'll need to continue your course.

if you want to extend another 180 days those are the rules. You can only extend ONCE on each entry. Easier to leave for a few days/weeks and re enter , no questions asked
