I have the DTV Visa and planning on getting an extension at Bangkok immigration whilst out there but I cant find out what documents I need. In the past with the 60 day tourist visa I got a 30 day extension. I just needed to fill out a form, bring passport, passport photos and pay a fee. Is it the same when getting a 180 day extension with the DTV? Also after getting the extension and almost staying out there for a year can I do a border run instead of taking a flight home?

Someone posted they had to resubmit all their initial documentation for the DTV including bank details with 500k in for a month. I think the advice to just do a border run is good.

Just do a border run. It's easy and you don't have to do any paperwork or anything, just show your DTV letter. When you return you'll get another 180 day stamp.
