What documents and copies are needed for a Non-O visa extension in Thailand?

I'm doing my first Non-O extension and have a couple of questions/reminders (memory loss since the first time around).

1. Do the copies need to be in color, such as passport, bank book, etc.?

1. I seem to recall that they required one or more forms in duplicate.

I am following this template.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post inquired about requirements for a first Non-O visa extension, specifically whether document copies need to be in color and if duplicates of certain forms are required. Community responses provided practical advice on making clear copies using a phone and emphasized the importance of adhering to immigration office requirements, which can differ. They mentioned the necessity of a TM30 form, which must be filed to report changes of residence. Additionally, a participant shared the process and costs of their recent extension and highlighted the possibility of filing the TM30 online. Overall, advice focused on clarity and caution in preparing documentation for a successful visa extension.

In your list at the bottom it says originals, there is a "penalties for over stay" form that needs to be 2 originals, your Immigration can give you these.

TM30 receipt? Anyone knows?

yes, the TM 30 is the form you or your landlord will file within 24 hours of changing where you live. (Note: if you move to a new apartment, house, condo on the weekend, then you are supposed to file the next day that your immigration office is open.) If you file the TM 30 in person, the receipt will be stapled in the back of your passport, just like your latest 90 day report. If you don't have a copy of the receipt, you should ask your landlord for a copy and staple it in the back of your passport. You will need a current TM 30 on file to renew your long stay visa. I believe (I'm not 100% certain about this) that the fine is 800 THB if you or your landlord fail to file the report. Immigration seems to be cracking down on this as of late. BTW, if you are on a tourist visa and staying in a hotel, you can disregard this. The hotel will take care of this for you.

welcome. Also, I believe it's now possible to for you to file a TM 30 on the internet. However, I have no experience in doing this so I don't feel l should give you any advice about how to go about doing it. Maybe someone else who reads this and has experience filing online can comment and give you some guidance.

For anyone who doesn't have 800,000 baht, but can do a combination of money in Thai account plus monthly transfers from outside Thailand, like pension, that accumulates to the required 800,000 baht.

if you go to the immigration office you use, they should be able to provide you with a list of items you will need specifically for "your immigration office" (they are not all the same.) I use Jomtien Immigration and I do my extensions myself, with a list provided by Jomtien Immigration. I renewed my last extension of stay at the beginning of this month. It only took me about 2 hours total and I spent 2,200 THB for the pictures, bank letter, photo copies & immigration fees and I was good for another 364 days.

Can someone tell me what documents are required to get a visa for their girlfriend to come to the US? Thanks in advance

strong ties to her home country such as solid financial status, jobs, land properties and all that. Imagine the US officers assume all Thais would most likely to violate the US tourist visa status by not coming back, so its her job to prove otherwise.

Sometimes I think that these new regulations and different things you have to do just to drive business off to one of these agencies that will get all done for you for

there's nothing new in the requirements, which are fairly straightforward once you have your bank account.

I used to work with Pepsi and Coke in the US. Every depot I visited was run in a different way. It has a lot to do with the person in charge, who seems to come up with better ways to do things!!! 🙂 And then there's the pushback from people who DONT want changes!! Result a pleasant day... or two at immigration

Hope the IO does too !

For many the easiest way to make copies, is to use the Phone.

Make them as good as possibel, so they are not the reason for rejection.
