TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of renewing a COVID extension for a visa in Thailand. Respondents clarify that while there isn't a 'renewal' per se, one can apply for a new 60-day extension under COVID-19 circumstances. The necessary documents typically include a passport and required copies, a TM30 form, forms from the immigration office, a letter from the embassy, passport photos, and a fee of 1,900 THB. Respondents emphasize that different immigration offices may have varying requirements.

there is no "renewing an extension" :O you'd be applying for a completely new one and the process is exactly the same as what you did to get your first 60 day covid extension as far as documents.

I know people who have applied for their THIRD one already :P

I did mine on Friday, go to immigration and they will give you all the forms you need

@Tuinui *******
if you have a rental agreement or/and can get a print out of the tm30 your landlord/hotel made for you then take that with you

you can get unlimited 60 day extension of stays based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

what can you do if yours embassy can't provide you that letter. Was asking them just got a mail back, saying they don't write that letter, because it is possible to enter the country.

Is it still possible to apply for the 60 days Extension visa?

>what can you do if yours embassy can't provide you that letter.

What immigration office and what's your country? Honestly, I'd go prepared and write a letter saying that your embassy doesn't provide the letter.

@Benjamin *****
I live in Phuket and use the immigration in Phuket town.

My embassy is the Danish.

@Steen ***************
You'll be fine, just tell the immigration office that they don't issue the letter
