Hi all,

Has anyone successfully changed their 60-day covid extension to a working visa (Non-B visa)? Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the possibility of changing a 60-day COVID extension to a Non-B working visa in Thailand. It highlights the importance of knowing the visa status prior to the COVID extension and outlines that applicants need a minimum of 15 days left on their COVID extension. Additionally, the employer must meet the requirements for the visa application at a local immigration office, which may have stricter criteria than those from a Thai consulate abroad.

What I was trying to find out
@Fi***
is the type of stamp you were on BEFORE you got the covid extension and what you did to get the covid extension <- that's what that matters.

IF you were on an ED visa extension that you cancelled and then went on a covid extension you MIGHT <- as in may be able to go to an in country 90 day Non-B visa based on employment.

You would need at minimum 15 days left on your current covid extension to apply AND your employer would need to meet the in country requirements to get that visa issued at the immigration office in your area.

GO to the immigration office and get the hand out listing the requirements to get the in country Non-B issued (it is much more stringent than getting a Non-B issued from a thai consulate in another country).

I had a ED visa stamp and I was done learning in the school so I canceled that visa and applied for 60 day covid extension, which I am on now, because I want to stay in Thailand.

I also have more than 15 days left of covid extension. I will go immigration office and get the requirements. Thank you.

I was on ED visa, I cancelled that already and got 60 day covid extension and now I want to get a working visa (already got a job). Just want to ask others if they have successfully changed from 60 day covid extension to working visa.
