Hello everyone,

Currently I'm on 1 year extension of my non b visa. Very soon my contract with the current employer is going to expire (just like my extension and work permit) and I don't want to renew them with this employer. I'm planning to get 60-day covid extension to stay in Thailand.

The question is: If I decide to take a new job during this 60-day covid extension, would it be possible to get a new non b visa with the new employer without leaving the country?

Thanks for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about transitioning to a new job in Thailand while on a 60-day Covid extension of their Non-B visa. They inquire whether it is possible to secure a new Non-B visa with a new employer without leaving the country. A commenter points out that this is contingent upon the new employer's ability to fulfill the stricter documentation requirements set by Thai immigration offices compared to consulates abroad. This implies that the hiring employer needs to be aware of and compliant with these regulations.

Whether you can or can't get a new Non-B issued inside the country after cancelling the existing extension you're on and going to a covid extension depends totally on whether your employer can meet the in country documentation requirements to use an immigration office to get the Non-B issued. <- many employers can't meet those requirements in country (they are much more stringent than thai consulates abroad).

SO if/when you get another job ask the employer
