What documentation do I need to apply for a Thai visa while working remotely for one month?

Hi US folks, I am applying from LA embassy.

My company has a remote work policy to work for 1 month. Should I print out a whole page of that policy and 1 recent payslip to apply?

How should i prove them im working for that company if payslip does not work?

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for a Thai visa from the LA embassy while being employed under a remote work policy that allows working for one month. There are concerns regarding what documentation is needed to prove employment, especially if a recent payslip is insufficient. Responses suggest including a letter from the employer detailing remote work arrangements, a contract of employment, and possibly bank statements showing consistent income. Clarification is also requested about the one month remote policy.

Just write your own letter using your company's letterhead.

You wont be getting a DTV based on only being allowed to work remotely for 1 month a year.

seems so, so not the best move to inc it as will likely get a rejection or METV.

hi James, that’s correct. My company only allows employees to work remotely in anywhere for only 1 month but you have to get approved from a digital nomad

Anonymous participant not likely to be approved for the DTV visa as you are only performing the remote activity one month per year.

Anonymous participant The DTV allows you to be in country for six months at a time. If you tell them you can only be here for a month at a time, they will probably give you the 60 day tourist visa instead.

That’s a new thing I have heard haha. What should I do now? Is there any other approval type that I can use to submit to my company?

Anonymous participant IF you want to get the 5 year DTV you can get it via the Soft power option via a course such as Muay Thai , cooking or medical treatment. The other option is to omit the one month remote working clause.

Anonymous participant My remote work policy covers the 5 years of the DTV. If you can only work one month per year remotely, i would avoid including that in your application as you will likely get A METV - six month multi entry visa instead of the DTV.

It's best to get a letter from the company acknowledging that you will work for them remotely from Thailand

it's likely that the embassy will ask to check the money transferred to your account for several months and not just for a single month
