What do I need to know about extending my Non O 90-day visa and TM30 requirements after returning to Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTER
Hello, I left Thailand and applied for the Non O 90 days visa, was approved and returned. I had just done my 90 day reporting before I left. When I go to extend I will just have to do the 90 day report at immigration before extension right, then I can continue to do it online?

TM30: I am renting the same house I have been in on my old "visa/extension", but since I am now on a different visa, does my landlord need to do it again since I left and came back or should it still be good.

Also, I am planning on moving in the next couple moths and will be extending my visa at a different office, are there any potential issues I could run into?

I just want to make sure I have everything in order for the extension at a different office.

I appreciate any insight. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has left Thailand, applied for a Non-O 90-day visa, and is seeking clarity on the 90-day reporting process and TM30 requirements after returning. Key points from the discussion include that the first 90-day report on the new visa is due 90 days after entering Thailand, and the TM30 form likely needs to be redone since the user left and returned. Additionally, they are advised to check immigration requirements at the new office where they plan to extend their visa to avoid potential issues.

Your first 90 day report will be due 90 days after entering Thailand or on the date provided by immigration when you did your last 90 day report. Doing a extension is not a 90 day report. Only if its the first time after a 90 days visa.

Just curious, did you do this in a neighboring country to Thailand? If you did, how many days did it take? Thanks!

There's no requirement to do a 90 day report on a 90 day visa. Your first 90 day report will be due on the date provided by immigration when you do your extension

Leaving the country and coming back: new TM-30.

90 day report doesn't matter when you did it last, it resets on leaving and coming back, so the counter restarted when you entered. I've done online 90-day after leaving and coming back, but on the same visa. I'm not certain if you'd have to do the first 90-day in person due to new visa, but you could always try online in the "2-week before" window and see what happens. If it's rejected, just go in person. Make sure the new TM-30 is done first--even at same address.

Your first 90 day on the new visa will be until 90 days after your extension. The immigration officer will put a small slip in your passport with your reporting date.

When you need a new TM30 varies by immigration office but most require a new one if you left Thailand. When in doubt just get a new one since it should only take a couple of minutes if the property owner is registered online.
