What are the guidelines for obtaining a reentry stamp before leaving Thailand and updating my address upon return?

Good Day, I have 2 visa related questions about leaving Thailand and returning. This will be my first time, in the three years that I've been here.

1. How long before my departure flight can I go to immigration to get a reentry stamp? Weeks, Days, or do I have to do it on the day of departure? I'd rather do it at the immigration office in Phuket town, as I've read getting it at the airport might not be an option at the moment. I'm on a Non-B Visa.

2. When I return, do I have to register my address again (Landlords information, Tabian Ban etc.) or do I just do my 90 day report as per usual as I will still be staying at the same property?

Any advice would be appreciated as I can't find the exact answers on immigrations website.

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the process for obtaining a reentry stamp before departing Thailand on a Non-B visa and whether they need to re-register their address upon returning. Responses indicated that a reentry permit can be obtained anytime after receiving the extension stamp, ideally before the departure, though last-minute options are available at the airport. Upon return, a new TM30 form must be filed within 24 hours to register the address with the landlord's information.

Turning off commenting, as I've got my answers, but leaving the post on, might be useful to others. Also, some people can't seem to read or comprehend that a Non-B is a working visa and not a covid extension visa... 🧽🧼😂

A single reentry permit is 1000 baht. A multiple is 3,800. Depending on how many times you may leave Thailand before your extension/entry stamp expires will determine whether a multiple is worth it.

1. You can get a re entry permit at anytime after you get your extension stamp or “valid until” entry stamp. It’s valid until your extension/entry stamp expires. If you like leaving things to the last minute you can buy one at the airport, but much easier to do it earlier for many people.

2. On return you do need to file a new TM30 within 24 hours. Depending on whether you rent or stay in a hotel either the hotel or your landlord *should* do it for you.

thank you. So I'll have to go through the whole process again then, with all these documents again? Even if I will be staying at the exact same house as before I left.

yes, but so much easier if your landlord can get a username/password for the online system. Takes a few days to get it. Filing then takes about 5 minutes max.
