I, unfortunately, came in on a excempt visa, which is for 30 days.

What's the best thing I can do now to extend?

Is this covid prolonging still active?

Sorry, I'm on mobile, busy and finding info is a bit overwhelming, thanks for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you entered Thailand on a 30-day exempt visa, you can apply for an additional 30-day Extension of Stay based on tourism at a local Immigration Office. It's unclear if any COVID-19 related extensions are still in effect.

Oh well, here we go again.

NO, how much a train ticket is to a border for a trip to a neighbor country has not much to do with visa rules but more with how to travel in a foreign country.

Sorry but this page has rules and as moderator I know the rules.

Good luck. If you have any important issues to report, please ask with PM and the topic can be opened again.

thank you both, and this can be done twice I think in one year?

So 3 months in total for me, or are there other options (aside from the work permit visa)?

It's related to the acquiring of the visa. You don't have to respond if you don't want. peace

If you work inside Thailand there is only the option for Non Immigrant B visa or smart visa in combination with work permit.

OR if married to a Thai National the Non Immigrant O visa in combination with work permit.

No, an Visa Exempt Entry can only be extended once with 30 days based on tourism.

You can enter by land borders twice a year using visa exempt entry but by air unlimmited.

ah so 4 months in total a year, and with air unlimited, that's interesting, I wonder what the cheapest flights would be, could be just 50 dollars or so no?

So that would be 7-30 euro train, 50 euro flight, and then 1.9k baht to extend the other month, so 130 euro for every 2 months.

Yes, applied for at the Ministry of Labor.

Sorry but this page is not for travel advice and finding a Thai Embassty near by.
