TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 30-day extension at your local immigration office if you initially entered Thailand on a visa exemption. This extension can be obtained once, typically for a fee of 1,900 THB. However, it's important to note that the COVID-19 extension may not be granted until you have completed a total of 60 days on the visa exemption.

You can renew your Visa Exempt status 1 time for an additional 30 days - I beleve for 1900 THB.

I believe Immigration will not issue the Covid Extension before you do 60 days total Visa Exempt.

Yes, you can apply for a 30 day extension at your local immigration office. You can go anytime, the 30 days are added to March 17th.
