TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an issue where their retirement visa is about to expire, and their landlady is unwilling to provide a lease contract. Commenters suggest that in Bangkok, it's common to extend a visa without a lease if the same address is used as in previous years. Some have successfully managed extensions by using outdated contracts or simply having a verbal agreement without formal documentation. However, they also note that many landlords avoid giving written contracts to evade tax implications, making it difficult for tenants relying on formal agreements.

They want in Krabi. I just copy the contract, which is for 5 years and already 8 years old, the landlord ID and house papers. It is accepted every year.

If you're in bangkok, applying for a yearly extension of stay and are using the same address you used last year I doubt you'll need your lease.
I've gotten many yearly extension of stays from Chaengwattana based on retirement and never once shown my lease (although I did have it with me just in case). ;)

Many Thai do not give contracts. They do not want to report the income

Are you using an immigration office that requires a copy of the lease?

Get a new landlady. Honestly this is difficult as many landlords/landladies are paranoid about giving even a copy of a contract (which you signed)! There is no way to force them, and there is no upside to them (the downside is that the govt might become aware they've been renting property without paying taxes). A combination of the cash economy and an abnormal legal system means you are possibly out of luck.
