TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the best nearby countries for applying for a Thai visa, with Vietnam being suggested but noted for its strictness and longer processing times. Comments highlight that the Philippines has had a positive experience with a quick turnaround for visa applications, while there are concerns about Laos. Additionally, there is an upcoming change where from January 1st, all applications will be processed online.

Vietnam is very strict now. Don't think you'll meet the nice officers now. Cause everyone is rushing to vietnam now they're very full

Takes also longer than usual
