Ok everyone, Just arrived at CM Immigration and had a good conversation about what’s next.
First, this is only a proposal and NOT being enforced by immigration yet. Everyone is still under the 30 April amnesty period as details get sorted out.
I’m told that immigration is awaiting their official announcement to begin enforcement, whatever it may be.
As soon as it is published in the Gazette, we’ll know details.
As soon as I hear anything, I’ll splay it out here.
Bottom line: Extensions ARE coming. Not enforced yet. We don’t know WHO will be affected. There are still loads of questions. But, you can breathe some sort of sigh of relief.
Update you all soon.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent update from CM Immigration reveals that a new extension for visas is being proposed but not yet enforced. The current situation remains under the 30 April amnesty. Immigration is awaiting an official announcement that will clarify who is affected by the proposed extensions. Community members express gratitude for updates while seeking confirmation on whether the extension applies to those who have previously extended their visas. Overall, there is a sense of relief as assurances are given that extensions will likely cover all visa types once officially published.
