Hello guys.I want to know some information about traveling from Thailand to Laos. currently I live in bangkok.if my visa will finish on sunday and I will be on Thai-Laos border on monday morning so I need to pay for only one day and it costs 500 baht more?and without any other payments or difficulties??

Thanks in advance.

Answer summary

If your visa expires while you are at the Thailand-Laos border, you will incur a fine for overstaying your visa. The fine is 500 baht for each day of overstay, which can be paid on the Thai side of the border. There is typically little issue if you are only one day over; you are likely to just pay the fine and receive a stamp in your passport. However, it is advised to proceed directly to the border to avoid complications.

Да, отдельная стойка слева, для просрочивших пребывание (500 бат за день). 😃

Yes, it's a 500 baht per day fine for an overstay. You'll pay it on the Thai side and get a small stamp in your passport for good measure. There shouldn't be any dramas when you get to the crossing. Technically if you're caught on the way to the border on an overstay you could be detained, but it's highly unlikely one day late - if asked, tell them you're heading to the border.
