TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the implications of leaving Thailand one day after their tourist visa has expired in order to obtain a new visa from the Laos consulate. Comments indicate that there could be consequences, such as a 500 baht fine and an overstay stamp in the passport, suggesting that it’s advisable to avoid overstaying by leaving a day earlier.

Stay at the riverfront. V Hotel is nice, about 800 Baht a night, many restaurants, coffee shops, & night market across the street. Bar Pan Yang, Samlo, & At Home Disco for nightly entertainment.
