Hi guys and galls

Got a question

I live in Thailand,about 4 or 5 months a year

I’m married for Buddha (but that’s not worth nothing)

Have a house in her name

Motorcycle

Insurance

Driver’s license

And money in Thai bank account.

Now

I would like to come to Thailand,February or March next year

But I don’t know if I meet the requirements for the stv

14 days guarantee is no problem

But I understood,you need to have hotel reservations and because I have a house

That’s gonna be difficult

I also have papers from local police station

And father in law

Who guarantee for me

Any advice would be nice

Married for Buddha?
Kool *******
@Panu ***
, this is actually a marriage party, with monks, food and marriage traditions. It is not the actual marriage, that is done at the local Amphur, where the marriage is done, and recorded. He did not do that part.

From the information that has been presented to Thailand frequent visitors is that the end of the 2ed quarter beginning of 3ed quarter of 2021 by then I would say traveling in general should be more easier.
Steve **********
Contact Thailand Longstay for the correct info

Feb , march should be fine to be at home in Thailand .

Its an 80% chance on present position .
Bobby ********
@Rob *****
. I'm sure you're joking!! 🤣🤣🤣
Rob ******
@Bobby *******
No , just reading and watching Singapore and Australia in real time verses political .

Watch the stocks associated with tourism and travel they usually know information 3 weeks to 6 months ahead . Partic SQ which of course is owned by the Sin Gov't .

Waves are not the worry , its a country or the world ability to track and trace .
Phil *******
@Rob *****
Waoh... how you got that number? Or is it just a gut feeling?

Assuming the virus will have disappeared by miracle? Or everybody will be vaccinated?
Rob ******
@Phil ******
No its a combination , vaccine plus track and trace plus after peak of the EU and USA winter flus . Plus a little japanese Olympics plus dogs on airport duty etc .

Things will change drastically by February, March next year....

Don't make too many plans!!!
Bobby ********
@Jan ********
. The STV lifespan is twelve months, which means quarantine is here for a while, which means land borders will remain closed.
Jan *********
@Bobby *******
I wouldn't trust the government for an inch....

At this time the situation is fluid. Anything can happen or change. If you have a house in Thailand is your name in the house book.?
Lun *****
4-5 mths long long way to go . Best part Thai always change their rule and regulations.

Just take my advice carefully ' police station and her father in law not there job to prove it , all you need paper from (Kảmnạn) or (phu yai ban) under Kảmnạn one of them enough to make it for you and that would be enough approved you are leaving there 100%

Ask your wife to take police paper and her father iin law and if someone around her know him personally in case bring 2 witnesses to Kảmnạn would be a piece of cake to make it and that his job
Naffy ***********
You have to quarantine in a approved state quarantine hotel . It can’t be done at a home ,just a 14 days then you will be free hopefully to be home
Naffy ***********
If you need any help feel free to text me I'm here in Bangkok and I would help you as much as i can

no need to to stress out every thing going to be alright.

Peace out and good luck

put everything you have in your file and let him write recent one that,, he knows you from a long time already since 2011 or before and that your addresse with your girlfriend * I believe that perfect to approved your visa easley ., I believe you would have the visa faster then you think ' whatever immigration asking but that in general not all cases . And they need income anyway *
Naffy ***********
Phu yaiy ban enough for your paper no need the Kảmnạn ,, Phu yaiy ban is thee position of the local ruler at the village level has the (power) and duties to govern and take care of the people in the village

this is a helpful reply?

You would really need to look nearer the time, the goal posts will be moved so many times, US elections, political landscape, Chinese New Year, lots going to change, I would chill and wait until after Xmas buddy and we will all hopefully have a slightly clearer picture 🙏
Steve *******
@Jaye ****
US elections are going to affect thai immigration? Huh? 🤔
Phil *******
Depends what country you come from. STV limited to people coming from a few countries like China, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Canada,...

Contact Thai embassy in the country where you live

Between now and February, things can change a few times for better or worse ....
Stuart *********
@Phil ******
there is no notification that the STV is dependent on what country you come from. Probably limited by the fact that it needs to be a charter flight rather than a commercial flight but it’s not country specific.
Phil *******
@Stuart ********
a couple weeks ago, they published a list of countries they would accept tourists from
Bobby ********
@Phil ******
. I saw that list. Myanmar was on it. Then they had the outbreak. The list disappeared!
Phil *******
@Bobby *******
correct! All can and do change fast. Best is to contact embassy as document from them is required and they book the seats on the planes
Phil *******
A friend in France wa0s told that he could not apply
Phil *******
STV program still not formally approved by government!

8 October 120 Chinese and again 120 on 25 October. Then 120 Scandinavians. Then... no plan yet
Bobby ********
@Stuart ********
. Here's a clue. Looks like the first plane load is ready to roll!

It’s not even October I would wait before asking these questions. Will be different rules to get in by then or new visas/requirements
Daniel ************
@Dominic ***********
"AGREE"- A lot of requirements will change between now and next year with the possibility of a vaccine, etc. I asked the same questions to the Thailand Embassy (Wash DC) and was told to wait for changes to future information. "GOOD LUCK!! ;-)
Kool *******
In most cases the Thai embassy will accept a letter from your girlfriend, as long as you have pictures of you both together at different locations. Every embassy has the power to make exceptions if you prove to them of your situation.
Peter ***************

@Kool ******
okay

So my wife should write a letter

Am I right
Rob **********
@Peter **************
The embassy in Australia required a letter of invitation written by my wife (in Thai) explaining our situation, relationship and why I should be allowed into Thailand during the current lock down.
Stuart *********
@Peter **************
it’s totally up to the Thai embassy/consulate you use. Some need a letter some just need proof of marriage. Call them and ask.
Michael ********
You need to contact the office that is doing these tourist visas requirements are not finalised yet

@Michael *******

they make these announcements when its already planned. They made exemption to film crews then two days later (true) there was film crew filming the goverment, and they had already done quarantine. Be interesting to see if there are any foriegn cyclists in that race that was made an exemption recently because if there are they would have had to have started qusrantine before announcement made.

You have to quarantine in a approved state quarantine hotel (ASQ). It can’t be done at a home.
Peter ***************
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Stuart ********
yes

But do they organize a hotel
Stuart *********
@Peter **************
no you have to book it. Price depends on the quality you want to pay for. Range from 30K to 250k Thai baht.
Peter ***************
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Stuart ********
but it’s only a few hotels that are doing this

At least that’s what I see on internet

Buriram

Phuket

And some other place
Stuart *********
@Peter **************
actually at this present time it’s only Bangkok hotels. In the next few days/weeks it may involve other districts “LASQ” hotels but they’re not official yet.

@Stuart ********
okay

Well

Still have a few months ahead of me

See how things develop
Bobby ********
Forget everything else. Are you married? Do you have Thai kid? Do you have work in Thailand?

I'd forget the STV. It's for the Chinese, believe me
Stuart *********
If you are married to a Thai national then you can arrange through your local Thai embassy for entry to Thailand. Lots of hoops to jump through and costly quarantine, Covid tests etc. But it can be done.
