Hello all,

I finally got an email back regarding my STV visa and the only thing I need to fix is the proof of accommodation.

I've read that you need have all 3 months fully paid for. The question is im staying with my gf and the place is in her name and the lease expires a month before the STV would expire. The email reads

"A fully-paid residential lease in Thailand for the whole duration of intended stay in Thailand (after the 14-day quarantine).

The lease must be issued by the lessor showing the duration of stay, and the lessor’s contact details and tax ID number"

Does this mean I can use her lease even if it is rented by her or do I have to have a place in my name and paid fully and get my own hotel which makes no sense. I tried contacting them and to no avail sadly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The main issue is whether you can use your girlfriend's lease as proof of accommodation for your STV visa. The requirements state that you need a fully-paid residential lease for the entire duration of your stay. However, you can use your girlfriend's lease as long as she provides an invitation letter confirming your stay, along with her lease details and contact information. It may also be helpful to have your name added to the lease or to renew the lease for the duration of your stay.

Yes just a letter from her confirming you’re staying there for the full period of say 90 days plus a copy of the lease is absolutely fine

Renew the lease and add your name to it .

She’s the ‘lessor’ so if the read the requirements it says you can use that, in her name, with her ID number and contact details (and probably your number too). You’ll probably also need letter from her confirming you are staying with her the whole time.

Your gf have to send you invitation letter which shows address of the accommodation.

I think you’ll find a copy of the lease is required, letter not sufficient
