Hey does anyone know what information is needed to get the STV (from USA). I will be staying with a friend. So I don't have a lease or a tax id number...

You need proof of owning property, or a written lease with proof that it's been paid for the duration of your initial visa (90 days). You might be able to get away with an invitation letter, but probably not.
