Just a quick question for when applying for a Non immigrant O visa in my own country Australia. Proof of money held in an Australian bank account, must have withdraw enabled at any time. But does it need to be held in the account for a period of time or two months previous to the visa application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa in Australia, proof of funds in an Australian bank account is necessary. However, there's no requirement for these funds to be held for a specific duration before the application. Once the visa is obtained, it is essential to open a Thai bank account and deposit 800,000 THB, which must be maintained for two months before applying for a one-year extension of stay.

You apply for a 90 days Non O in AUS with your income or funds at date home. You don’t need to keep the money or prove your income in any other way after the 90 days visa is issued.

When you come to Thailand you’ll need to open a bank account and put 800K in your name within the first month as the money needs to be seasoned for two months before you apply for your first year extension of stay. These funds also need to be untouched for three months after the extension is issued and can’t drop below 400K for your first year. After you can switch to the income method showing proof of income transferred over sea for twelve months if you want.
