Furst time renewal of my 1Y non O visa.

For the 800k, can i just photocopy the pages of my bank book or should i ask my bank to give me a statements ?

I guess i am not the first one, but i could not find the answer on this group.

==========UPDATE======

they told me that my account should be above 400k from the arrival on year 1.

I thought that stuff was only starting on year 2. I made sure i had more than 800k in 2026, but in 2025 it went below 400k.

She gave me a phone number to call. She said this agency can help me. I wonder if it is her brother or husband.

Any suggestions ?

Thks
Answer summary
This post discusses the requirements for renewing a 1-year Non-O visa in Thailand, particularly focusing on the financial documentation needed. Users recommend obtaining a bank letter or official statements rather than just photocopies, including an updated bank book on the day of renewal. Details about maintaining a minimum balance of 800,000 THB for at least two months before the application and not dropping below 400,000 THB afterward are also highlighted. Suggestions include checking with the immigration office for specific requirements and the possibility of hiring an agent for assistance.

Before you apply for an extension of stay you need to have a minimum of 800k in your Thai bank for at least 2 months, it needs to remain in your account for 3 months after getting your extension and can't drop below 400k at any point before coming back up to 800k 2 months (3 at some immigration offices for the 2nd extension onwards so check) before applying for the next extension.

If you didn't honour the terms of your current extension it's very likely they will refuse your next extension

You need to get the bank letter of your fund balance for at least 3-months being at 800k.

what her brother or sister🤣🤣🤣that immigration officer gave you a lot of mercy. Normally they can just reject your extension. And, they think you are so arrogant so that is why they said to you to get an agent. You are the real person to use agent.🤣🤣🤣

applications to a new 1-year extension of the stay permit, using the 800,000 THB bank deposit, have one thing in common: Your bank must issue a "bank letter of guarantee" (in Thai: rab roong thanakan) which confirms that the 800,000 THB have been sitting in your account for a minimum of 2 months. And you need the updated bankbook that shows you have not violated the rules for the upkeep of the deposit in the recent year. The rule is, that after getting issued the extension, the deposit cannot fall under 800,000 THB in the next 3 months. After that, the deposit shall never fall below 400,000 THB.And two months before the annual application to the 1-year extensions of the stay permit, the deposit must be a minimum of 800,000 THB, again. You would need to update your bankbook every month to be able to show you haven't violated the rule.

Hello,

After getting the bank statement a few days before visiting Immigration, do you deposit some money into the account on the day of the visit so that there is a transaction recorded in the bank book on the same day?

Also, this would create a small discrepancy between the bank statement and the bank book. Would this be accepted?

You need the exact same documents you used to get your one year extension the first time. No, you can not use photocopied.

Depends on the office you will be using. They all have variations on requirements. Most will want bank letter and photocopies of book

You can’t provide photocopies only, you need the bank letter or statement. Remember update the bank book on the day of your renewal.

You should go to your immigration office and ask them for the handout of requirements for an extension. It will tell you exactly what you need.

Most immigration offices will require a 12 month bank statement provided by your bank. A letter from the bank stating you are the owner of the account. These can generally be 1-7 days old.

Then you'll need your bank book updated on the same day that you go to immigration.

But you still need to get the list from your immigration office as each office sets their own requirements.
