Good Morning All, Hope someone here can offer advice. I am here currently on covid extension but would like to apply non o based on retirement. If possible I would like to do myself. ( I meet all criteria ).

What documents do I need to show to apply for initial 90 day Non O ?

Is it 2 seperate applications ? Initial 90 day then the extension or is it all wrapped into one ? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be greatful.

Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on applying for a 90-day Non-O visa based on retirement while currently on a COVID extension in Thailand. They wish to manage the application independently and inquire about the necessary documents and whether the process involves separate applications for the initial visa and an extension. Community members suggest visiting the local Immigration Office in Phuket for guidance and provide a link to general requirements. They clarify that proof of funds in a Thai bank account is necessary, and nationality does not affect the requirements.

You definitely need an immigration-office-specific handout of requirements for in-country Non-O at your local immigration, but here is a 'general' one that the immigration website has. Could be used as supplemental info.

Unfortunately, the UK doesn't issue affidavits for your fund in your country. You need to have transfer your money to a bank account in Thailand.

Does not matter as the requirement for the conversion to a Non O visa is that you must have the 800.000 Thb on a Thai bank with proof that is came from abroad. Your Nationality has nothing to do with that.

Seeing that you live in Rawai and you meet all requirements just visit the Immigration Office in Phuket.

First you apply for a conversion into a Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age and after 60 days you can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age.

Yes, you need also a bank statement about this and the money needs to come from abroad,
