Dear channel, I currently have non-O visa (spouse). Every year, when I renew visa, I have to submit the bank statements for the past two months, showing that I have more than 400K THB in the bank. However, I have seen in the website that 2 months bank statement is for the first application only. For the renewals, various website says 3 months statements are required. Is that the case now? Did Thai government recently change the requirement? I would appreciate it if anyone could give me advice on this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the bank statement requirements for renewing a NON-O visa (spouse). Currently, it is confirmed that there hasn't been a change; you need to provide 2 months of bank statements showing over 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account in your name. While some websites may suggest 3 months, it seems this is a common practice among applicants for caution, but not a requirement by the Thai government.

You're reading the wrong websites :O :/ .

There have been no changes to the seasoning requirements for banked money method for marriage extensions in many MANY years.

You have always needed to show the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before the date you apply for the new extension

thank you very much for the clarification. I am glad that my understanding is right. Today, I went to the bank, asking for the letter and the statement. The bank teller also told me that normally foreigners ask for 3 months for visa extension and it was only me who asked for 2 months statement. But if the government requirement has not changed, I am so glad.

just take the 3 month statement, it's what they normally print out. That has nothing to do with how long you need to season the funds for immigrations

I get always a 12 month statement and the letter, costs the same..as the account is only for the visa money, I have another account for everyday use..makes it a lot easier.

people ask for 3 months worth of statements to be sure it covers the entirety of the 2 month period the money must be in the bank for.
