Hello All... I'm in the UK and I'm just about to submit the application for a Thai Tourist Visa, and I have a couple of questions that I hope this forum can help me with...

1. The website didn't give me the option of a 3 or 6 month visa. Will they decide that..?

2. Do I need to submit the last six month Bank statements or will the most recent one be ok......?

Thanks in advance....!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Thai Tourist Visa from the UK and has questions regarding the visa options available (3 or 6-month) and the necessity of bank statements. Responses clarify that there is no 3 or 6-month tourist visa; users must choose between a single entry (90 days) or a multiple entry visa (valid for 6 months with unlimited entries, each extendable for 30 days). The bank statement requirement varies by embassy, with some requesting only the most recent statement. The conversation includes users sharing their experiences, the differing requirements of the London Embassy, and references to official embassy resources.

Thanks for everyone who has responded to this… Much appreciated…! I’m applying for a multi-entry E-visa, so that will be the six month one by the sounds of it. The London Embassy application only asked for the flight detail of my flight into Bangkok though….. Should I be uploading my exit flight somewhere as well…..?

I’ve just done my 60 day tourist visa which can be extended by 30 days so that will give you 90 days in total, and I only sent my latest my latest bank. Statement

please add the info of which embassy/consulate you applied for your visa

1. You will choose Single for 3 months validity or Multiple for 6 months validity on "Number of Entries" field for tourist visa on eVisa application system.

2. check the website of the embassy/consulate where you are applying at. Each embassy has different condition for that. Some set just recent, some require you to show 6 months record, etc.

Thanks James… (It all seems way more complex than it used to be…!)

The only options for tourist visa are single entry or multiple entry. While single entry is valid for 90 days and multiple entry is valid for 6 months, that doesn't mean you get to stay that long.

You have to choose single entry or multiple entry as part of your application.

Multiple entry costs much more than single entry and you must prove need for multiple entry by uploading a flight into Thailand, a flight out within 60 days, and another flight into Thailand. If you don't do this they'll issue you a single entry tourist visa and keep the difference in payment.

I don't think he has submitted the application yet.

Thanks Brandon… The London Embassy website didn’t specifically ask for any exit flight details though… Should I upload them anyway, or wait until they ask…?

if you're applying for multiple entry, they specifically say you need to justify your need for that visa. If you don't do that they will not ask you for additional information they will just issue you a single entry.

Ok. So far I have a flight in and out. If I have a ticket for re-entry that should do it I guess. Could this be by land entry or does it have to be by air….? Thanks..

you're right. I'll edit

You have not said WHICH THAI VISA you are applying for on the Evisa online application system.

And you have not said just how long you are wanting to stay in Thailand.

The requirements for a Thai Visa are specific to the Thai Visa you are applying for...

Fulfill each of the requirements and you will get the Thai Visa.

The SETV...Thai Tourist Visa will get you max of 90 days stay... 60 days on arrival plus one 30 day extension of stay at Thai Immigration office for 1,900 Thai baht.

The METV multiple entry tourist visa can get you up to 9 months stay with planning and a couple simple land BORDER BOUNCE entries into Thailand.

There no such thing as a 3 or 6 months tourist visa. There's a 60 day tourist visa which can be extended for 30 days or there's a multiple entry tourist visa which is valid for unlimited 60 day entries during its validity with each entry being extendable by 30 days
