TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) is seeking information on the requirements for a Non-O Single Entry visa for her Filipino husband while they are in Savannakhet. Various community members share their insights and experiences regarding the documentation needed, including a recommendation letter from the employer, evidence of marriage, proof of employment, and how to navigate the application process. There are suggestions for alternatives if a visa isn't granted immediately, such as obtaining a tourist visa and applying for a Non-O visa from within Thailand.

Sorry to hear that. I wish you would have posted your question BEFORE you went all the way to Savannakhet.

I hope it works out for you. At the very worst your husband could get a single entry tourist visa and get 60 days when he comes back into the country. That would give you time to sort out the documentation so when you go back it will work.

OR if he comes in on a tourist visa he could apply for a 90 day Non-O at the immigration office inside of thailand too.

Yup, I didn't know that this page existed. My friend from Germany whom I met going to Savanakhet told me about this page. However, I checked the advice they gave me but nobody told me that a letter of recommendation is needed. So right now, I am still waiting for the pdf file of that letter. Thanks a lot.

Right now, the lady from the immigration gave us an option to have the pdf file send online yet we still have to send thru post office the original copy of the letter. The guy who assisted us earlier from the immigration was not so helpful at all.

hello everyone, lesson learned for me because I was informed that the letter from the employer certifying I am still working in my school is not enough. They still asked me for another letter of consideration which includes; LETTER REFERENCE NUMBER, INSIDE ADDRESS (THAI CONSULATE), CONTENT SHOULD INCLUDE MY HUSBAND'S COMPLETE NAME AND PASSPORT NUMBER AND ALSO RECOMMENDING MY HUSBAND TO APPLY FOR NON-O.

What puzzles me is that people go on a trip and while staying there in Savannakhet start asking question. Common sense would be to prepare all well before. May be I am old fashioned. I hope our OP will get the visa.

Yikes, she messaged me and somehow I did the wrong thing. I've been getting non-o's for almost 10 years now, so I'd like to think I'm familiar with the process. She is a teacher. I told her to bring her work permit, contract, marriage certificate to the consulate along with copies and she should be okay

First your husband need to be with you. Than you need to present documents as Original and signed copy. Prepare Red Ribbon of Marriage, your passport and your work permit. A letter from you confirming that you still married and live together. Last is a letter from your Employer confirming you are still employed. That should cover the requirement.

I will mention to members that this is a group with 14K members, and the admin staff has no idea if these members know anything about getting visas or not.

I am not making any judgement about you talkin' to Bobby Bo, but he's only been a member since July and no one knows if he really knows what he's talkin' about.

Be very careful about taking advice from other members in P/M's.

Yep, and that helps no-one else in the group. We discourage PMs because of that and there is no double checking of the information given.
