Morning Tod and everyone, I will going for my first Non O Visa as I’m married to a Thai National next month and have saved the info on what to supply the Thai Consulate in Savannakhet as we live right across the river in Mukdahan. A friend is also applying for his first Non O as married to a Thai, he has returned to Sydney Australia and this week was told he had to provide a letter from his wife’s employer confirming she is employed. Has anyone else had this request as I didn’t think I had to supply one in Savannakhet. Thanks in advance for your replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to apply for their first Non O Visa due to marriage to a Thai national and is discussing the documentation requirements with others. They mention a friend's experience needing a letter from his wife's employer, which raised a question about varying requirements at different consulates, particularly Savannakhet.
