What Are the Recent Changes to TM30 Rules for Expatriates in Thailand?

Could someone please clarify the recently revised TM30 rules.

My employer has always done them on my behalf every time I’ve left Bangkok and stayed in hotels in other provinces.

I returned to Bangkok yesterday and as normal, told my employer to do the TM30.

They’ve told me they no longer need to do it and it only needs doing now if I leave the country. Is this correct?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent changes to TM30 regulations indicate that expatriates may not need to re-file the TM30 form for internal travel within Thailand or even for returning from international travel, provided they return to the primary address where their TM30 was previously filed. It is advisable to consult with the local immigration office for specific requirements.

For TM30 policy, always ask your local immigration office what they expect and require.

Thanks for the update

There is no need to re-file a TM30 for in country travel OR even out of country travel if you come back to the primary address where a TM30 was filed for you before

As long as you're going back to the same address it doesn't even need to be done when you come back in from abroad anymore.
