TM 30 question.

i find the wording of this article a bit ambiguous:

[[members only])

it seems to be saying that if i rent a house, and stay one night in a hotel, my landlord doesn't need to file a new TM30?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The recent updates to the TM30 reporting rules indicate that landlords are not required to file a new TM30 for tenants who stay overnight in a hotel, as long as the tenant does not leave the country and return. This change has eased the reporting burdens for landlords.

It was funny to watch the landlords getting dragged there

not so funny for people whose landlords couldn't be bothered when they needed a tm30 to get their papers done.

I've been lucky, I've had good landlords. But I'm still glad to not hassle them.

Yes, this is new law, no need to landlord to report any trip in Thailand, only if you leave the country then come back
