I hold a United States of America passport and need help understanding the latest rules. I first entered Thailand receiving a tourist stamp in early July. Just before the 30-days expiration I flew to Laos for one month. The Thai embassy in Vientiane gave me 60 more days which will expire on this Tuesday, October 29th. Have I maxed out my number of tourist days allowed in Thailand for this calendar year? Am I eligible to go out to Immigration on Monday to receive 30 more days? Otherwise I will fly over to Singapore on Tuesday but would really rather be here for a few more weeks. I appreciate any good advice!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a U.S. passport holder, is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand after receiving a 60-day extension from a tourist visa, which is about to expire. Community responses suggest that the user can extend their visa for an additional 30 days at local immigration for 1,900 THB. They also clarify that the user is eligible for two visa exemptions by land each year, allowing for further extensions if planned correctly.
1. Extend your current visa by 30 days for 1,900 THB (it'll last you until November 20th or thereabouts).
2. You qualify for two visa exampts by land each calendar year, each good for 30 days (extendable by another 30 days for 1900 THB). So time it correctly and you should be able to stay here until April or thereabouts
