Hi y'all! Thank you so much for making this group and thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.
I'm from the United States here on a 60-day tourist visa that I applied for and got before I left. My visa is valid until the 13th of November. I would like to extend 30 days. If I go in on tuesday (the 8th) will that give me enough time? What do I need to bring? I don't really understand the residency document, do I just have the hotel I'm staying at fill it out? And what reason do I give for extending my stay, I just want to extend it but it seems like I have to have a reason? I didn't see any option for just "tourist" purposes. Do I have to show proof of onward travel like I did to get the first one?
Any other advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on extending their 60-day tourist visa in Thailand for an additional 30 days. They inquire about the procedure, necessary documents like the TM30 form from their hotel, and whether they need a specific reason for the extension. Community members confirm that tourism is an appropriate reason for the extension and clarify that proof of onward travel is not required. The user successfully obtained the extension and later asks about the limits on further extensions.
